This 1985 Porsche Carrera belongs to our Procurement & Fulfillment Manager. It has the standard 3.2 boxer flat six engine. It is predominately a street driven car that sees a couple track days a year. It also does the occasional auto show, cars and coffee, etc. The engine has been upgraded with 964 cams, B&B tubular heat exchangers and Steve Wong chip. The car was put on a Mustang dyno and the new data was provided to Steve Wong to further customize the engine chip. The engine now puts out around 280 hp.
The car has been set to a little below European ride height. It has been corner balanced and a Rennline strut brace installed. Turbo tie rod end upgrade was also done. Stock 7"x16" front and 8"x16" rear Braid BZ wheels (Fuchs replicas) with Dunlop Direzza tires are on the car. (These images show the Carrera wearing 8"x17" front and 9"x17" Braid BZ wheels.)
While the engine was out being modified, the transmission had new syncros added and a Sachs power clutch installed. A Wevo 915 Gateshift was also installed to improve shifting.
