Continuation of Fuel Starvation Troubleshooting
Posted on Sep 06, 2024
Last time we talked we'd discovered that we hadn't actually fixed our apparent fuel starvation issue. Despite the fuel pickup being on the right side of the car and ours having trouble after left hand bends, we decided to replace the fuel pump, fuel filter and pickup screen.
We didn't find any issues with any of these parts but did find this in the bottom of the tank. Ah hah! we thought.
...and registered for another autocross.
Where we discovered it wasn't fixed, may have gotten a bit worse and that you can still have fun even if your car is sick.
Frustrated with testing the car at events as we couldn't drive it on the road, we changed focus and set about figuring out how to make it road legal as we had no suitably tight corners in our parking lot. Meanwhile we took pictures of it as it's still pretty despite being unwell.
